Inspector Customs/ Intelligence Officer duties, salary and Syllabus

This post includes the Responsibilities/ Job Description/ Duties, Pay Salary and Syllabus for the post of INSPECTOR CUSTOMS/ INTELLIGENCE OFFICER (BS-16). FPSC (Federal Public Service Commission) has recently announced 158 posts of INSPECTOR CUSTOMS/ INTELLIGENCE OFFICER (BS-16), PERMANENT, REVENUE DIVISION, FEDERAL BOARD OF REVENUE in January 2019. Test for the of INSPECTOR CUSTOMS/ INTELLIGENCE OFFICER (BS-16) FPSC will be MCQS based carrying 100 marks.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ JOB DESCRIPTION OF INSPECTOR CUSTOMS/ INTELLIGENCE OFFICER (BS-16)

i) Prevention of smuggling.
ii) Gathering information and intelligence.
iii) Prevention of revenue leakage and evasion.
iv) Examination of export/ import consignments/ goods at wharfs. Dry Ports/ Airport / Customs stations etc. and detection of mis-declarations.
v) Investigate and inspect persons, common carriers, goods, and merchandise, arriving in or departing from the country and to detect violations of immigration and customs laws and regulations.

 

SALARY OF INSPECTOR CUSTOMS/ INTELLIGENCE OFFICER (BS-16)

i) Inspector Customs/ Intelligence Officer gets Salary of Rs. 45000/- per month approximately according to BS-16.

 

SYLLABUS FOR THE TEST OF INSPECTOR CUSTOMS/ INTELLIGENCE OFFICER (BS-16)

 

ENGLISH (20 Marks)

English Portion consists of grammar usage, vocabulary, composition and sentence structuring. MCQs in Custom Inspector English Section test will contain synonyms, antonyms, analogies, prepositions, and completing the sentences, Idioms and phrases , direct indirect, active and passive voice and Custom Inspector paper will contain 20 MCQs from English section and will carry 20 marks .

 

BASIC ARITHMETIC (20 Marks)

FPSC Custom Inspector test will contain 20 MCQs from the Basic Arithmetic. Basic Arithmetic contains equations, percentage,  series questions, ages, time and distance related questions.

 

CURRENT AFFAIRS & GENERAL KNOWLEDGE (20 Marks)

Current Affairs are the latest happenings in Pakistan and around the globe. FPSC test for custom Inspector will contain 20 marks of Current affairs mcqs. Candidate must remain in touch with the latest news on politics, international affairs, sports, technology and personalities.

 

EVERYDAY SCIENCE AND GENERAL SCIENCE & ABILITY (20 Marks)

General Science and Ability Mcqs is also the compulsory part of Custom Inspector Test and 20 questions of 20 marks will be asked from Every Day Science and General Science & Ability. General Science and ability MCQs will be from the Universe, Human Body System, Inventions, Atmosphere etc. Analytical Reasoning is also a section of General Science and Ability and contains questions related to analytic reasoning. This portion may include basic computer operations in MS Office i.e Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.

 

PAKISTAN AFFAIRS AND ISLAMIC STUDIES (20 Marks)

Pakistan Affairs syllabus for the post of Custom Inspector includes topics from 1857 till present, all the important historical events such as formation of Muslim League, Nehru Report, Quaid-e-Azam 14 points, Allah Abad Address, all the important personalities such Quaid-e-Azam, Sir Syted Ahmed Khan, Sir Agha Khan, Liaqat Ali Khan which occurred and most important thing we have noticed in past papers of Custom Inspector and FPSC papers for other post Pakistan Affairs section also contain current Affairs about Pakistan.

Custom Inspector test of FPSC will contain 20 marks both of Pakistan affairs and Islamiat .

 

ISLAMIC STUDIES OR ETHICS (FOR NON MUSLIM)

Islamic Study MCQs Questions are also the part of all type of FPSC tests. Custom Inspector test will contain 10 MCQs from Islamiat section of 10 marks. Islamic Studies portion includes all the historical events of Islamic History, Ghazawas, Important dates, Ashra Mubashra etc. For Non Muslims

 

BASIC COMPUTER OPERATIONS IN MS OFFICE

Basic Computer Operations in MS Office may include MCQs from Microsoft word, Excel and Power Point specially the shortcut keys.
